About Dread Slaver

Dread Slaver, Creature — zombie horror, designed by Dave Kendall first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's a key card in 1 combos.

A deck focused on dealing damage and reanimating creatures would benefit from including Dread Slaver, as it offers a powerful way to generate value by bringing back opponents' creatures as black Zombies under your control. While Dread Slaver can be a strong inclusion in certain strategies, there are potentially better reanimation cards available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Grave Titan or Sheoldred, Whispering One, which offer more immediate impact or recursion potential. Ultimately, the decision to include Dread Slaver in a deck would depend on the specific synergies and strategies being employed.

Rules

05/01/12

Dread Slaver will return if it somehow dealt damage to itself and then dies.

05/01/12

Each time a creature dies, check whether Dread Slaver had dealt any damage to it at any time during that turn. If so, Dread Slaver’s ability will trigger. It doesn’t matter who controlled the creature or whose graveyard it was put into.
