About Cleanse
Cleanse, Sorcery, designed by Phil Foglio first released in Jun, 1994 in the set Legends and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck that focuses on white creatures and struggles against black creatures would benefit from using Cleanse in Magic: the Gathering. However, in today's metagame, there are more versatile board wipe cards available, such as Wrath of God or Day of Judgment, which can destroy all creatures regardless of color. Therefore, while Cleanse may have niche uses in specific matchups, it is generally not considered a top-tier card and may not see much play in competitive decks.
