This card, Behold My Grandeur, would benefit a control deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly to take advantage of its ability to search for high-cost cards. While it can be a powerful card in the right deck, there are potentially better options available such as Primeval Titan or Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath, which provide immediate value upon entering the battlefield. Whether Behold My Grandeur should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, as well as the overall meta of the format it is being played in.

The number of lands you control is checked as you set this scheme in motion and again as its second ability resolves. Once this scheme has been set in motion, you can’t play a land or use an effect to put one onto the battlefield before the second ability could trigger.
