About Avenging Arrow

Avenging Arrow, Instant, designed by James Ryman first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica.

Avenging Arrow would be most beneficial in a white control deck that focuses on removal and board control, as it provides a targeted removal option for dealing with creatures that have dealt damage. While Avenging Arrow can be situationally useful, there are generally better removal options available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, which offer more versatility and efficiency. Overall, Avenging Arrow may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited scope and higher mana cost compared to other removal spells.

Rules

10/01/12

It doesn’t matter what the creature dealt damage to. If the creature dealt damage to another creature or a planeswalker, it doesn’t matter whether that creature or planeswalker is still on the battlefield.
