About All Hallow's Eve

All Hallow's Eve, Sorcery, designed by Christopher Rush first released in May, 2020 in the set Legends and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and reanimating creatures would benefit from using All Hallow's Eve, as it provides a powerful effect of returning all creature cards from graveyards to the battlefield. However, there are better cards with similar effects such as Living Death or Patriarch's Bidding, which are more efficient and reliable in achieving the same goal. All Hallow's Eve could see play in more casual or thematic decks, but in competitive settings, other cards would likely be preferred for their consistency and impact.

Rules

10/01/09

All Hallow’s Eve’s triggered ability functions from the exile zone. This ability has an “intervening ‘if’ clause.” It won’t trigger at all unless All Hallow’s Eve is exiled and has a scream counter on it (which can happen only if it resolves as a spell).

10/04/04

Since you can respond to triggered abilities, it is legal to sacrifice creatures using some spell or ability prior to resolving the ability that removes the final counter from All Hallow’s Eve.
