With this in mind, the next season will likely feature more dark magic, manipulation, and a Vox Machina struggle against a far more dangerous and insidious force than they’ve faced before – possibly reviving the eerie atmosphere of the Briarwoods’ arc.

Romance and Couples: New Directions and Predictions

Romances in Vox Machina have grown over the seasons, with couples like Percy and Vex, and Vax and Keyleth firmly established. In season three, these couples faced separate journeys yet remained solid in their relationships. We’ll likely see more tender moments, and maybe a touch of romantic drama, in season four.

But my boldest prediction is that Scanlan and Pyke will finally become an official couple. Since season one, there have been hints and emotional moments between them, similar to the buildup with Vax and Keyleth. Now it may be Scanlan and Pyke’s time to shine, sharing sweet scenes and overcoming challenges together.

Pyke’s Crisis of Faith

One of season three’s most surprising arcs was Pyke’s growing crisis of faith. In previous seasons, we saw Pyke reconnect with her goddess and even dedicate an entire arc to strengthening her spirituality. But in season three, seeds of doubt began to grow.

In a particularly impactful moment, Pyke hesitates to pray to awaken Scanlan from his coma, suggesting that her bond with her goddess is on the brink. This crisis of faith, or spiritual questioning, could bring one of her most moving arcs in the upcoming season.
