Quentin Tarantino is returning to the big screen with The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, a sequel to Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood that revisits the character played by Brad Pitt. The film will open in IMAX on November 25 in the United States, followed by a wider Netflix release in December.

Netflix has released a new preview of the film and announced that tickets for the IMAX screenings are now on sale. Tarantino wrote the screenplay, marking his return to the story of Cliff Booth, but he is not directing this time. David Fincher is at the helm.

Brad Pitt will lead the film once again as the character who earned him the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Rick Dalton in the 2019 film, is not expected to return for the sequel.

The story is set in 1977, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. The cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will be Tarantino's first feature film since 2019, when he directed Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. It has yet to be decided whether the filmmaker will direct a tenth film, which could bring his career as a director to a close.

Analysts believe Brad Pitt could receive another Oscar nomination for the role, although the expected race includes several strong contenders. The film will open in IMAX on November 25 in the United States before arriving on Netflix in December.
