The first full trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth sees Brad Pitt reprise his Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood character in a new chapter set in Los Angeles. The film follows Cliff Booth in 1977, eight years after his encounter with the Manson family in Quentin Tarantino's alternate-history story. No longer working as a stuntman, he makes a living as a bartender, projectionist and, above all, a Hollywood fixer, solving problems for industry figures through methods that may fall outside the law.The trailer also features a joke about Rick Dalton, Leonardo DiCaprio's character from the 2019 film. Cliff explains that he no longer works as Dalton's stunt double because “Rick got too fat”.The new production brings together an unusual pairing: Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay, while David Fincher directs. The story brings Cliff into contact with agent Karen Crosby, played by Elizabeth Debicki, who seeks him out on behalf of her client Charlie Peters, a TV star played by Scott Caan and known for performing his own stunts.Among those who cross Cliff's path are Toni, Charlie's wife, played by Carla Gugino; former American football champion and actor Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II; and the Verdusco brothers, gangsters who stir up trouble across the city. The synopsis describes the story as a crime tale shaped by murder, blackmail, robbery, extortion, violence, ambition and desire in Los Angeles. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth will have a two-week exclusive run in Imax theaters worldwide beginning November 25, before premiering on Netflix on December 23.
