Behind Your Touch is a 2023 South Korean television series that combines comedy, fantasy, crime investigation, and romance in the fictional rural county of Mujin. It aired on JTBC from August 12 to October 1, 2023, in a 16-episode run, and was released internationally by Netflix. The drama was directed by Kim Seok-yoon, whose earlier collaboration with actor Han Ji-min included The Light in Your Eyes. Its script was credited to Lee Nam-gyu, Oh Bo-hyun, and Kim Da-hee.

Han Ji-min plays Bong Ye-bun, a veterinarian whose life changes when a meteor shower gives her psychometric ability. By touching the rear ends of people and animals, Ye-bun can see scenes from their pasts. The deliberately absurd condition becomes useful to Moon Jang-yeol, a Seoul detective transferred to Mujin after a setback in his career. Lee Min-ki portrays Jang-yeol, who initially treats Ye-bun’s power as a means to improve his prospects of returning to Seoul.

Their inquiry shifts from minor local cases to a far more dangerous murder investigation when deaths disturb Mujin’s seemingly quiet community. The series turns its supernatural premise into a mystery built around suspects with concealed motives and the problem of interpreting incomplete visions. Suho of EXO appears as Kim Sun-woo, a handsome convenience-store worker whose arrival draws Ye-bun’s attention. Supporting players include Kim Hee-won as Mujin’s police chief, Park Hyuk-kwon as Ye-bun’s grandfather, and Joo Min-kyung as her close friend Bae Ok-hee.

The show’s original Korean title, Hiphage, is a pun connected to its unusual touch-based premise. Rather than presenting Ye-bun’s gift as a polished superhero power, Behind Your Touch repeatedly makes its rules, limitations, and embarrassing method part of the comedy. Kim Seok-yoon’s earlier JTBC series include The Light in Your Eyes, starring Han Ji-min, and My Liberation Notes, featuring Lee Min-ki. The program brought both performers into the same principal pairing. Han plays Ye-bun with professional concern for animals and increasingly risky involvement in police work.

Behind Your Touch does not confine its story to the central couple’s bickering. Mujin’s residents, including farmers, shopkeepers, police officers, and Ye-bun’s patients, become essential to both its humor and its clues. As the murder case intensifies, the tone grows darker than the early episodic cases suggest. The finale resolves the identity of the killer and brings the investigation to a close, while leaving Ye-bun and Jang-yeol’s relationship shaped by their shared experiences in Mujin. It aired on JTBC.
