Netflix’s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice now has a release date: the six-episode series will premiere on December 3. The production will retell Jane Austen’s story, with Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy.

The full cast was unveiled for the first time at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath, England. During the event, screenwriter Dolly Alderton revealed images of the characters and confirmed Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet and Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham.

The cast also includes Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley, Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Hopey Parish as Mary Bennet and Hollie Avery as Kitty Bennet.

Netflix said the six episodes will closely follow the 1813 novel, known for its social commentary, humor and love story between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. The platform also indicated that the production will make some creative changes in its adaptation.

Dolly Alderton, who also wrote Everything I Know About Love and Ghosts, said she feels lucky to be part of a new version of Austen’s work. When the trailer was released in February, the screenwriter described Pride and Prejudice as the foundation of romantic comedies and said she had found familiar and new ways to bring the book to the screen.

The series marks the return of one of Jane Austen’s best-known stories in a television format, now with a six-episode season led by Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden.
