Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are teaming up for Dogfight, a new Netflix action thriller. Ritchie will write, direct and produce the film, with Statham in the lead role. Filming is expected to begin in the UK in early 2027.

The film is described as a revenge thriller set in London's criminal underworld. Netflix has not yet released specific plot details or announced any other cast members. No official release date has been set.

Before Dogfight, the pair will reunite for Viva La Madness, an adaptation of J.J. Connolly's novel of the same name. The book is a sequel to Layer Cake, another Connolly novel adapted into a 2004 crime film starring Daniel Craig. Ritchie co-wrote the screenplay for Viva La Madness with Connolly.

The cast also includes Vinnie Jones, Jason Isaacs, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster and Jonny Lee Miller, as well as Raúl Alejandro, who will make his feature-film debut. Statham also stars. That makes Viva La Madness the actor and director's sixth collaboration, with Dogfight set to be their seventh.

Their partnership began with Ritchie's 1998 directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. They went on to work together on Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Ritchie also has projects with Netflix, including The Gentlemen. Production on Dogfight is set to begin in 2027, but its release date remains unconfirmed.

According to Collider.
