About Tamiyo's Journal

Tamiyo's Journal, Legendary artifact, designed by Chase Stone first released in May, 2020 in the set Shadows over Innistrad Promos and was printed exactly in 13 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

A control or midrange deck that focuses on card advantage and resource management would benefit from using Tamiyo's Journal in Magic: the Gathering. While it provides a steady stream of card draw through Clue tokens, the ability to tutor for a specific card by sacrificing three Clues can be a game-changer in the right situation. However, there are arguably better cards for similar effects, such as Demonic Tutor or Enlightened Tutor, which offer more immediate and versatile search options. Tamiyo's Journal could see play in specific decks that value incremental advantage and have the time to set up its abilities effectively.
