Steam Vents, Land — island mountain, designed by Yeong-Hao Han first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 16 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Commander and Brawl.
Steam Vents is a versatile dual land that can be beneficial in multicolor decks, particularly those running blue and red spells. While the option to pay 2 life for untapped mana can be a drawback, the flexibility it provides in casting spells of both colors makes it a valuable inclusion in decks that require a variety of mana sources. While there may be other dual lands with less of a drawback, Steam Vents is a solid choice for decks that prioritize color flexibility and speed.

Unlike most dual lands, this land has two basic land types. It’s not basic, so cards such as District Guide can’t find it, but it does have the appropriate land types for effects such as that of Drowned Catacomb (from the Ixalan set).
