Slitherhead, Creature — plant zombie, designed by Greg Staples first released in Oct, 2012 in the set Return to Ravnica and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Slitherhead would be beneficial in a Golgari-themed deck focusing on graveyard interactions and +1/+1 counters, as it can be easily recurred from the graveyard to boost other creatures. However, there are potentially better options like Lotleth Troll or Varolz, the Scar-Striped that offer more versatility and impact. Slitherhead could see play in a budget or casual deck, but may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its limited impact compared to other options available.

Exiling the creature card with scavenge is part of the cost of activating the scavenge ability. Once the ability is activated and the cost is paid, it’s too late to stop the ability from being activated by trying to remove the creature card from the graveyard.
