A deck that focuses on casting a high number of instant and sorcery spells from the graveyard would benefit from Mizzix's Mastery, as it allows for massive spell copying and casting at no additional cost. However, the high mana cost and potential vulnerability to graveyard hate may limit its effectiveness. Other cards like Past in Flames or Underworld Breach may be better options for graveyard spell recursion, depending on the specific strategy of the deck. Mizzix's Mastery could see play as a powerful finisher in decks looking to overwhelm opponents with a flurry of spells in a single turn.

If you cast a spell “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t pay any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
