Merfolk of the Pearl Trident, Creature — merfolk, designed by Jeff A. Menges first released in Aug, 1993 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 25 different ways.
The Merfolk of the Pearl Trident card would benefit a Merfolk tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a cheap and efficient creature to help establish an early board presence. However, there are better Merfolk cards available, such as Silvergill Adept or Master of the Pearl Trident, which offer more impactful abilities. While Merfolk of the Pearl Trident may not be a top-tier card, it could still see play in casual or budget Merfolk decks.
