Humble Defector, Creature — human rogue, designed by Slawomir Maniak first released in Jan, 2015 in the set Fate Reforged and was printed exactly in 13 different ways.
A deck that focuses on card advantage and political gameplay would benefit from using Humble Defector, as it allows you to draw two cards while potentially creating interesting interactions with your opponents. However, there are better cards that offer similar effects, such as Merfolk Looter or Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, which provide card draw without the drawback of giving control to an opponent. While Humble Defector can be a fun and unique addition to certain decks, it may not see widespread play due to its potential downside.

Humble Defector’s ability can be activated any time during your turn, including in response to a spell or ability.

If Humble Defector is controlled by a player other than its owner, and its controller leaves the game, the effect giving that player control of Humble Defector ends. Humble Defector will return to the control of the player still in the game who most recently controlled it.
