About Hope Tender

Hope Tender, Creature — human druid, designed by Magali Villeneuve first released in Jul, 2017 in the set Hour of Devastation and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's a key card in 9 combos.

Hope Tender can be a valuable addition to a ramp or land-focused deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing the ability to untap lands for additional mana acceleration. While it offers flexibility with the option to untap two lands at the cost of exerting the creature, other cards like Kiora's Follower or Voyaging Satyr may be more efficient in similar strategies due to their lower mana cost and immediate impact on untapping lands. However, Hope Tender could still see play in decks looking for redundancy or additional untap effects.

Rules

04/18/17

If you gain control of another player’s creature until end of turn and exert it, it will untap during that player’s untap step.

04/18/17

You can’t exert a creature unless an effect allows you to do so. Similar effects that “tap and freeze” a creature (such as that of Decision Paralysis) don’t exert that creature.
