However, there are better cards with similar effects, such as Fact or Fiction, which allows you to draw cards regardless of your opponent's choice, making it a more reliable option for card advantage in most cases. Overall, Covenant of Minds could see play in specific graveyard-focused strategies, but there are more efficient options available in most situations.

The targeted opponent has two options: Let you have the three revealed cards or let you have five unknown cards. Note that if the opponent goes with the first option, you put cards into your hand rather than draw them (in case something like Hoofprints of the Stag cares about that), but if the opponent goes with the second option, you actually draw cards.
