About Angrath, the Flame-Chained

Angrath, the Flame-Chained, Legendary planeswalker — angrath, designed by Raymond Swanland first released in Jan, 2018 in the set Rivals of Ixalan Promos and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

Angrath, the Flame-Chained would be a great addition to a Rakdos control or midrange deck that focuses on disrupting opponents' hands and board states while applying pressure. However, for a more competitive edge, cards like Liliana of the Veil or Chandra, Torch of Defiance might offer more versatile and impactful abilities. Angrath could see play in more casual or themed decks, but for higher-level play, other planeswalkers may be more optimal choices.

Rules

01/19/18

Angrath’s first ability causes each opponent to lose 2 life even if some or all of those players were unable to discard a card.

01/19/18

Whether the target creature has converted mana cost 3 or less is checked only as the delayed triggered ability from Angrath’s second ability resolves during the end step.
