About Amaterasu

Amaterasu, Fairy spirit monster, designed by Konami first released in Jun, 2022 in the set The Dark Illusion: Special Edition.

Amaterasu could be a valuable addition to a control-oriented deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's plays and maintaining board presence. While its effect of banishing all other cards on the field upon being flipped face-up can be powerful, its high cost of 9 ygo-light and the restriction of not being able to be Normal or Special Summoned may limit its practicality in competitive play. Decks that can consistently meet the cost and leverage its effect effectively may find success with Amaterasu, but there may be more versatile and efficient options available in the current meta.
