Vedalken Orrery, Artifact, designed by John Avon first released in Jun, 2004 in the set Fifth Dawn and was printed exactly in 7 different ways.
A deck that focuses on instant-speed interaction and wants to surprise opponents with unexpected plays would benefit from including Vedalken Orrery. While Vedalken Orrery is a solid card for enabling flash, an alternative option to consider is Leyline of Anticipation, which provides a similar effect for free at the beginning of the game. Whether Vedalken Orrery should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, as well as the overall game plan and card choices.

The controller of Vedalken Orrery can cast nonland artifact, creature, enchantment, and sorcery cards any time they could cast an instant. This includes on other players’ turns and during the upkeep step, draw step, combat phase, and end step.
