Spijt de critici, Tovenarij, designed by Heonhwa Choe first released in Jan, 2019 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 7 different ways.

Skewer the Critics is een geweldige aanvulling op agressieve rode decks die tegenstanders snel willen uitschakelen, vooral in formaten waar het toebrengen van schade aan tegenstanders gebruikelijk is. Hoewel het misschien niet de krachtigste brandspreuk is die beschikbaar is, kan de flexibiliteit ervan met de Spectacle-kosten een aanzienlijk tempovoordeel opleveren. In een deck dat gericht is op het snel en efficiënt aanrichten van schade, kan Skewer the Critics een solide toevoeging zijn, maar er zijn sterkere burn-spreuken zoals Lightning Bolt die misschien de voorkeur hebben in meer competitieve omgevingen.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you’re paying (such as a spectacle cost), add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell remains unchanged, no matter what the total cost to cast it was.
