Ox of Agonas zou profiteren van een rood, agressief kaartspel dat zijn hand wil aanvullen en de aanwezigheid op het bord wil behouden. Hoewel het nadeel van het weggooien kan worden verzacht door het trekken van kaarten, biedt de ontsnappingsmogelijkheid extra waarde in het late spel. Voor een meer competitieve optie biedt Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger echter een soortgelijk effect met een effectiever weggooivermogen en terugkerende ontsnappingskosten die de hand van de tegenstander kunnen verstoren. Ox of Agonas zou spel kunnen zien in specifieke strategieën die prioriteit geven aan kaartvoordeel en kerkhofinteracties.
