Fire Diamond zou nuttig zijn in een mono-rood of rood-zwaar kaartspel dat hun manaproductie vroeg in het spel wil opvoeren. Terwijl het het slagveld betreedt, biedt het een consistente bron van rode mana, wat cruciaal kan zijn voor het snel uitspreken van krachtige rode spreuken. Er zijn echter betere opties beschikbaar, zoals Ruby Medallion of Sol Ring, die onaangeboorde mana-versnelling bieden. Fire Diamond zou nog steeds spel kunnen zien in budgetdecks of in specifieke strategieën waarvoor extra rode manabronnen nodig zijn.
