Benalish Missionary, Creature — human cleric, designed by Pete Venters first released in Jun, 1997 in the set Weatherlight.
This Benalish Missionary card would be beneficial in a defensive white deck that focuses on controlling the battlefield and protecting key creatures. While it can be useful in certain situations, there are better cards like Mother of Runes or Giver of Runes that offer similar protection abilities more efficiently. However, Benalish Missionary could still see play in a deck looking for redundancy or additional protection options.

Works even if the creature is “blocked” by an effect rather than actual creatures.
