참조 편집

Kim Young-kwang is a South Korean actor and model, born on January 11, 1987, in South Korea. He entered fashion modeling in 2006, and his early work included campaigns and runway appearances for international labels. He was associated with Dior Homme and became known in the Korean fashion industry before moving substantially into television and film. His modeling background remains visible in the restrained, physical style he brings to roles requiring a controlled public presence.

His acting career began with television appearances in the late 2000s, but wider recognition came through supporting roles in dramas such as Love Rain and Good Doctor. In Pinocchio (2014), he played Seo Beom-jo, a wealthy department-store heir who becomes involved with reporters Choi In-ha and Choi Dal-po. The role paired his polished image with a character whose loyalties and emotional maturity develop across the story.

In 2015, he starred in D-Day, a medical disaster drama set after a major earthquake in Seoul. He portrayed orthopedic surgeon Lee Hae-seong, whose clinical skill is tested when hospitals lose power and ordinary emergency systems collapse. The series focused on rescue decisions, resource shortages, and conflicts between medical ethics and institutional control. He later led Sweet Stranger and Me (2016), playing Kwon Deok-bong, a chaebol heir who disguises himself as an ordinary man while pursuing a personal goal.

His film work includes On Your Wedding Day (2018), a romantic coming-of-age film in which he played Hwang Woo-yeon. The story follows Woo-yeon and Hwan Seung-hee from their first meeting in high school through adulthood, repeatedly bringing them together and apart as education, work, and timing reshape their relationship. The film became a notable Korean romance and showed him carrying a feature as its central character rather than functioning only as an ensemble performer.

In The Secret Life of My Secretary (2019), he played Do Min-ik, a T&T Mobile executive who develops facial-recognition problems after an attack. Unable to identify faces, Min-ik relies on his secretary Jung Gal-hee, played by Jin Ki-joo, and pretends that she is a wealthy woman he knows. The romantic comedy uses his character's neurological condition to examine trust, workplace hierarchy, and the difference between appearance and recognition.

Later, Kim appeared in Somebody (2022), a Netflix thriller, as Seong Yun-o, an architect whose charm conceals violent behavior. The role marked a sharper departure from romantic leads and emphasized his range as an actor.
