Casey Bloys

Casey Bloys is an American television executive best known for steering HBO's programming during one of the network's most turbulent and productive eras. He is chairman and chief executive officer of HBO and Max Content, a role that places him over HBO Originals and Max Originals, including series, documentaries, and specials. Warner Bros Discovery says his responsibilities expanded after HBO Max's original-content duties came under him in August 2020, Magnolia Network was added in April 2022, and the Max platform launched in May 2023. Bloys grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the youngest child in his family, and has said he always wanted to work in television. He transferred from American University to Northwestern University, earned a bachelor's degree in economics in 1993, then entered the industry through television advertising in New York, a marketing job at Paramount, and assistant work in CBS current and development departments.
