Ice Age: Boiling Point

“Ice Age: Boiling Point” is an upcoming movie scheduled for January 28, 2027. Its announced premise brings the familiar Ice Age herd into a new setting and places them in a particularly dangerous adventure. Manny, Sid, Diego, and Ellie return, joined by Buck, Scrat, Baby Scrat, and the enormous Jurassic Scrat.

The story centers on a visit to the Lost World, a treacherous place that the characters have not previously explored. The catalogue description promises “never before-seen corners” of this setting, suggesting that the journey will expand the world associated with the Ice Age characters rather than simply revisiting locations from earlier adventures. The Lost World is also described as dinosaur-and-lava-filled, giving the expedition two central hazards: prehistoric creatures and volcanic danger.

Manny, Sid, Diego, and Ellie form the core of the returning group, while Buck’s presence connects the adventure with the series’ more dinosaur-focused mythology. Scrat remains part of the story as well, continuing the character’s association with acorns. This time, however, Scrat is not alone. Baby Scrat joins him, and the enormous Jurassic Scrat adds a much larger member to the Scrat-related lineup. Their inclusion is one of the specifically announced features of the movie’s cast of characters.

The premise combines the herd’s journey with an environment built around dinosaurs, lava, and the unexplored Lost World. That combination places the characters in an adventure defined by discovery and physical peril. The description identifies the movie as a madcap adventure, so the danger is framed within the comic, energetic spirit associated with the group’s travels. The central appeal is therefore not a quiet expedition, but a chaotic visit involving familiar characters, new Scrat figures, dinosaurs, and volcanic surroundings.

“Ice Age: Boiling Point” is presented as a new chapter for Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Buck, and the rest of the herd. Its announced story does not merely return the characters to a known landscape; it sends them into previously unseen parts of the Lost World. The addition of Baby Scrat and Jurassic Scrat gives the adventure new character dynamics, while the dinosaur-and-lava setting establishes its distinctive threat. With its January 28, 2027 schedule, the movie is positioned as an upcoming continuation centered on exploration, danger, and the herd’s latest unruly journey.
