Un mazzo incentrato sugli incantesimi, in particolare sulle Auree, trarrebbe beneficio dall'inclusione di Retether poiché consente di attuare una potente strategia di recupero dal cimitero, permettendo al giocatore di riportare in gioco più carte Aura contemporaneamente. Mentre Retether è una valida opzione per un tale mazzo, altre carte come Open the Vaults o Replenish potrebbero offrire maggiore versatilità o efficienza in determinate situazioni, a seconda della costruzione e della strategia specifiche del mazzo. In generale, Retether potrebbe essere giocato in mazzi che cercano di massimizzare il valore delle proprie carte Aura e delle interazioni con il cimitero.

All the Auras return to the battlefield simultaneously. Whether an Aura can be attached to a creature is checked before any of them are returned and doesn’t take into account any simultaneously returning Auras. For example, if Tattoo Ward (which gives enchanted creature protection from enchantments) and Holy Strength are in your graveyard and there’s only one creature on the battlefield, both Auras are returned to the battlefield attached to that creature, then Holy Strength is put into your graveyard the next time state-based actions are checked.
