Copy Artifact è una carta versatile che può essere vantaggiosa in una varietà di mazzi, in particolare quelli incentrati sulle sinergie degli artefatti o che cercano di duplicare artefatti potenti già in gioco. Anche se offre flessibilità e utilità, alcuni potrebbero sostenere che carte come Sculpting Steel o Phyrexian Metamorph forniscono effetti simili con maggiore versatilità, rendendole potenzialmente opzioni migliori a seconda della strategia specifica del mazzo. The copy is both an artifact and an enchantment, so it is an artifact-enchantment (perhaps even an artifact-creature-enchantment). It can be affected by anything which affects either type of permanent.
