Heo Nam-jun

Heo Nam-jun is a South Korean actor whose recent screen work includes prominent parts in two 2024-2025 television dramas, Your Honor and When the Phone Rings. In Your Honor, he plays Kim Sang-hyuk, the son of criminal boss Kim Kang-heon. The series, which premiered on ENA on August 12, 2024, begins with Sang-hyuk’s death after a hit-and-run collision. That event drives the drama’s conflict between two fathers: Kang-heon, played by Kim Myung-min, and judge Song Pan-ho, played by Son Hyun-joo. Pan-ho’s son, Ho-young, was driving the car that struck Sang-hyuk. In MBC’s When the Phone Rings, Heo portrays Ji Sang-woo, a psychiatrist and online personality who enters the orbit of Hong Hee-joo, the drama’s female lead. Chae Soo-bin plays Hee-joo, while Yoo Yeon-seok plays her husband, presidential spokesperson Baek Sa-eon. The series adapts the web novel The Number You Have Dialed and turns on a threatening phone call made to Sa-eon, exposing the strain inside his arranged marriage to Hee-joo. Ji Sang-woo is not simply an incidental clinician; his relationship with Hee-joo and his own role in the story’s mysteries give the part continuing dramatic importance. When the Phone Rings began broadcasting on November 22, 2024, and concluded on January 4, 2025, with twelve episodes on MBC. It was also distributed internationally by Netflix, bringing Heo’s performance to audiences beyond its Korean broadcast. The contrast between his two notable roles is concrete: Sang-hyuk is the dead heir whose killing sets Your Honor in motion, whereas Ji Sang-woo is a living participant in the unfolding investigation and personal relationships in the series. Together, these projects identify Heo by named characters, networks, dates, source material, and narrative functions. They also show his presence in two productions built around concealed responsibility: one follows consequences of a fatal collision; the other follows anonymous calls, a politically prominent marriage, and secrets surrounding its principal characters within the narrative.
