Pari de Tezzeret, Rituel, conçu par Karl Kopinski sorti pour la première fois en May, 2011 dans l'édition New Phyrexia et a été imprimé exactement dans 14 formes différentes. Voir le jeu dans 2 formats: Commander and Brawl.
Un deck axé sur les marqueurs +1/+1 et la pioche de cartes, comme un deck de prolifération Simic ou Dimir, bénéficierait du Gambit de Tezzeret en raison de sa capacité à piocher des cartes et à faire proliférer des marqueurs. Cependant, il existe de meilleures cartes comme Inexorable Tide ou Contagion Engine qui offrent plus de valeur pour un coût similaire, faisant du Gambit de Tezzeret un choix sous-optimal pour le jeu compétitif à moins qu'il ne soit spécifiquement adapté à une certaine stratégie ou à un certain thème.

Players can respond to a spell or ability whose effect includes proliferating. Once that spell or ability starts to resolve, however, and its controller chooses which permanents and players will get new counters, it’s too late for anyone to respond.

To proliferate, you can choose any permanent that has a counter, including ones controlled by opponents. You can’t choose cards in any zone other than the battlefield, even if they have counters on them.
