Un deck de contrôle qui vise à perturber les créatures ou capacités clés de l'adversaire bénéficierait de l'utilisation de Turn to Frog dans Magic: the Gathering. Bien que Turn to Frog soit une carte solide pour neutraliser temporairement les menaces, il existe de meilleures options comme Swords to Ploughshares ou Path to Exile qui exilent entièrement la créature. Turn to Frog pourrait voir le jeu dans des méta-jeux spécifiques où les créatures dotées de capacités problématiques doivent être neutralisées plutôt que supprimées définitivement.

Turn to Frog doesn’t counter abilities that have already triggered or been activated. In particular, there is no way to cast this spell to stop a creature’s ability that says “At the beginning of your upkeep,” “When this creature enters the battlefield,” or similar from triggering.
