Thopter Arrest est une addition précieuse à un deck de contrôle basé sur le blanc dans Magic: The Gathering, offrant un retrait à la fois pour les artefacts et les créatures à un faible coût. Bien que ce soit un choix solide pour les decks ayant besoin d'options de retrait polyvalentes, d'autres cartes comme Banishing Light offrent des effets similaires avec plus de flexibilité dans les cibles. In a multiplayer game, if Thopter Arrest’s owner leaves the game, the exiled card will return to the battlefield. Because the one-shot effect that returns the card isn’t an ability that goes on the stack, it won’t cease to exist along with the leaving player’s spells and abilities on the stack.
