Étrange permutation, Éphémère : arcane, conçu par Khang Le sorti pour la première fois en Oct, 2004 dans l'édition Champions of Kamigawa.

Cette carte, Inversion étrange, bénéficierait d'un deck rouge agressif cherchant à perturber les calculs de combat et à surprendre les adversaires avec des changements inattendus de puissance et de robustesse. Bien qu'elle puisse être une inclusion amusante et astucieuse, les decks plus compétitifs pourraient préférer des cartes comme Rage de bataille de Temur ou Croissance mutagénique pour des astuces de combat plus cohérentes et impactantes. Cependant, Inversion étrange pourrait tout de même être jouée dans des decks occasionnels ou thématiques qui apprécient son effet unique et sa capacité de fusion.
