Géopède tunnelier, Créature : insecte, conçu par Tomasz Jedruszek sorti pour la première fois en Oct, 2015 dans l'édition Battle for Zendikar. C'est une carte-clé dans 4 combos.

Cette carte, Tunneling Geopede, serait un excellent choix pour un deck agressif rouge avec des terrains en Magic: the Gathering, car elle peut infliger de manière constante des dégâts à chaque adversaire à chaque fois qu'un terrain entre en jeu. Cependant, il existe des cartes landfall plus puissantes comme Scute Swarm ou Lotus Cobra qui pourraient avoir un impact plus important dans le méta actuel. Tunneling Geopede pourrait tout de même être joué dans un deck budget ou plus décontracté, mais pour le jeu compétitif, d'autres options pourraient être plus efficaces.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
