Loups des forêts, Creature — wolf, conçu par Melissa A. Benson sorti pour la première fois en May, 2020 dans l'édition Limited Edition Alpha et a été imprimé exactement dans 12 formes différentes.

Un deck qui se concentre sur la synergie des créatures et la manipulation des combats bénéficierait d'inclure des Loups de la forêt dans sa stratégie, car la capacité de Banding peut créer des situations de combat avantageuses et permettre un blocage et une attaque stratégiques. Cependant, dans le pool de cartes actuel de Magic: the Gathering, il existe des cartes plus puissantes et efficaces qui offrent des effets similaires, telles que des cartes avec des capacités plus impactantes ou des statistiques plus fortes pour le même coût en mana. Par conséquent, les Loups de la forêt pourraient ne pas être très joués dans les decks compétitifs mais pourraient quand même être une inclusion amusante et thématique dans des decks occasionnels ou thématiques.

Creatures in the same band must all attack the same player or planeswalker.

If a creature with banding attacks, it can team up with any number of other attacking creatures with banding (and up to one nonbanding creature) and attack as a unit called a “band.” The band can be blocked by any creature that could block a single creature in the band. Blocking any creature in a band blocks the entire band. If a creature with banding is blocked, the attacking player chooses how the blockers’ damage is assigned.
