Cette carte, Dominating Licid, pourrait être bénéfique dans un deck de contrôle qui se concentre sur la prise de contrôle des créatures de l'adversaire pour obtenir un avantage. Cependant, il existe des cartes plus efficaces comme Control Magic ou Treachery qui offrent des effets similaires sans nécessiter de coûts d'activation supplémentaires. Dominating Licid pourrait ne pas être beaucoup joué dans les decks compétitifs de Magic: The Gathering en raison de son coût en mana plus élevé et de sa capacité moins efficace par rapport aux autres options disponibles.

If a spell that can target enchantments but not creatures (such as Clear) is cast targeting the Licid after it has become an enchantment, but the Licid’s controller pays the cost, the Licid will no longer be an enchantment. This will result in the spell failing to resolve for having no legal targets.

It becomes an Enchantment - Aura and stops being all other permanent types.
