Un deck qui se concentre sur la perturbation des stratégies de l'adversaire et sur la victoire grâce aux dégâts de combat bénéficierait de l'utilisation de Sudden Spoiling. Il peut être particulièrement efficace contre les decks qui s'appuient fortement sur les capacités des créatures ou sur les astuces de combat. Bien qu'il puisse y avoir d'autres cartes offrant des effets similaires, la capacité d'une fraction de seconde de Sudden Spoiling la rend unique et difficile à répondre pour les adversaires. Il pourrait être joué dans des sideboards ou comme one-of dans certains méta-jeux où son effet est particulièrement impactant.
