Vigile de Tazeem, Créature : sphinx, conçu par Zack Stella sorti pour la première fois en Oct, 2015 dans l'édition Battle for Zendikar Promos et a été imprimé exactement dans 2 formes différentes.

Un deck axé sur le contrôle du plateau et la perturbation de la stratégie de l'adversaire bénéficierait d'inclure le Gardien de Tazeem, car il offre un moyen constant de neutraliser les créatures et éventuellement de les maintenir bloquées avec sa capacité de landfall. Bien qu'il puisse y avoir des cartes de contrôle plus puissantes disponibles dans Magic: The Gathering, telles que Commande cryptique ou Teferi, le voyageur du temps, le Gardien de Tazeem peut néanmoins être un ajout précieux dans le bon deck, surtout dans une stratégie visant à retarder les menaces de l'adversaire et à maintenir le contrôle du plateau.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

Guardian of Tazeem’s landfall ability can target a creature that’s already tapped. If the land that caused it to trigger was an Island, that creature won’t untap during its controller’s next untap step.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
