Guardián de Tazeem, Criatura — esfinge, diseñada por Zack Stella lanzado por primera vez en Oct, 2015 en edición Battle for Zendikar Promos y fue impreso exactamente en 2 diferentes formas.

Un mazo centrado en controlar el tablero y perturbar la estrategia del oponente se beneficiaría al incluir a Guardian of Tazeem, ya que proporciona una forma consistente de aturdir criaturas y potencialmente mantenerlas bloqueadas con su habilidad de landfall. Aunque puede haber cartas de control más poderosas disponibles en Magic: The Gathering, como Cryptic Command o Teferi, Time Raveler, Guardian of Tazeem aún puede ser una adición valiosa en el mazo adecuado, especialmente en una estrategia que apunta a detener las amenazas del oponente y mantener el control del tablero.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.

Guardian of Tazeem’s landfall ability can target a creature that’s already tapped. If the land that caused it to trigger was an Island, that creature won’t untap during its controller’s next untap step.

If the ability has an additional or replacement effect that depends on the land having a certain basic land type, the ability will check that land’s type as the ability resolves. If, at that time, the land that entered the battlefield is no longer on the battlefield, use its types when it left the battlefield to determine what happens.
