Esta carta sería beneficiosa en un mazo de control o de rango medio rojo que apunte a lidiar con múltiples amenazas en el tablero de manera eficiente. Mientras que Street Spasm puede ser efectivo para eliminar una sola criatura que no vuele, cartas como Anger of the Gods o Sweltering Suns pueden proporcionar mejores opciones de control de tablero por un costo de maná similar.
