La reina Marquesa, Criatura legendaria — asesino humano, diseñada por Kieran Yanner lanzado por primera vez en Aug, 2016 en edición Conspiracy: Take the Crown y fue impreso exactamente en 10 diferentes formas.

Un mazo que se centra en controlar el tablero y generar valor a través de la mecánica monarca se beneficiaría al incluir a la Reina Marchesa. Esta carta es particularmente fuerte en formatos multijugador donde convertirse en monarca puede proporcionar una ventaja significativa. Si bien puede haber otras cartas que ofrecen efectos similares, la capacidad de la Reina Marchesa para generar consistentemente fichas de Asesino y mantener el estado de monarca la convierte en una buena opción para los mazos que buscan establecer dominio y control del juego.

Being the monarch carries two inherent triggered abilities. “At the beginning of the monarch’s end step, that player draws a card” and “Whenever a creature deals combat damage to the monarch, its controller becomes the monarch.”

If the triggered ability that causes the monarch to draw a card goes on the stack, and a different player becomes the monarch before that ability resolves, the first player will still draw the card.

The last ability of Queen Marchesa (long may she reign) checks to see if an opponent is the monarch as your upkeep begins. If no opponent is the monarch, Queen Marchesa’s (long may she reign) ability won’t trigger at all. Queen Marchesa’s (long may she reign) ability will also check to see if an opponent is the monarch as it tries to resolve. If no opponent is the monarch at that time, Queen Marchesa’s (long may she reign) ability will have no effect.
