Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown was born on February 19, 2004, in Marbella, Spain, to British parents. Her family later lived in Bournemouth, England, and Orlando, Florida, before moving to Los Angeles as she pursued acting. She made early television appearances in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Intruders, then played Madison O'Donnell in the BBC America series Intruders. Her breakout arrived in 2016, when Netflix cast her as Eleven in Stranger Things, the science-fiction drama created by Matt and Ross Duffer. Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic abilities who has escaped Hawkins National Laboratory, becomes central to the series' story of a missing child and escalating threats from the Upside Down. Brown received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the role in 2016 and 2017. She also shared Screen Actors Guild Award wins with the ensemble and became one of the youngest people ever included on Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world, in 2018. Outside Stranger Things, Brown starred as the title character in Enola Holmes (2020) and its 2022 sequel, playing Sherlock Holmes's younger sister. The films adapt Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes Mysteries and pair Brown with Henry Cavill as Sherlock; Brown also served as a producer through PCMA Productions. In 2019, she made her feature-film debut as Madison Russell in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and reprised the part in Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). She later led Netflix's fantasy film Damsel (2024), portraying Princess Elodie, whose arranged marriage conceals a deadly ritual. Brown published the novel Nineteen Steps in 2023. The book was inspired by her grandmother Ruth, and its story follows Nellie Morris during the Second World War in London's Bethnal Green district. In business, Brown launched the beauty brand Florence by Mills in 2019, naming it after her great-grandmother. The brand initially focused on products marketed toward younger consumers, including skincare and makeup. She has also worked as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, becoming the organization's youngest-ever ambassador when appointed in 2018. In 2024, Brown married Jake Bongiovi, the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi.
