About Unhinge
Unhinge, Sorcery, designed by Keith Garletts first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment.
Unhinge is particularly beneficial in discard-focused decks, such as those utilizing the Madness mechanic or strategies that aim to disrupt opponents' hands while maintaining card advantage. It synergizes well with decks that include cards that benefit from having cards discarded, like Liliana of the Veil or The Rack. While Unhinge is effective, there are arguably better options like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek, which not only force a discard but also provide insight into the opponent's hand. Overall, Unhinge can see play in specific builds, but its effectiveness may be overshadowed by more powerful discard spells in competitive environments.
