Torrent of Souls, Sorcery, designed by Ian Edward Ameling first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and aggressive strategies, such as a Rakdos Aggro or Aristocrats deck, would benefit from including Torrent of Souls. While it offers versatility with its ability to bring back a creature from the graveyard and grant haste and a power boost to creatures, there are potentially better options like Kolaghan's Command or Dreadbore for more efficient removal or recursion. However, Torrent of Souls could still see play in certain niche decks looking for a mix of creature recursion and combat tricks.

This spell cares about what mana was spent to pay its total cost, not just what mana was spent to pay the hybrid mana symbol in its cost.
