About Temporal Trespass

Temporal Trespass, Sorcery, designed by Clint Cearley first released in May, 2020 in the set Fate Reforged and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Brawl.

A deck that focuses on filling its graveyard quickly, such as a self-mill or reanimator deck, would benefit most from using Temporal Trespass due to its Delve ability, which allows for a potentially reduced mana cost. However, in competitive play, Time Warp is often considered a better option as it costs less mana and doesn't require additional setup to be effective, making it a more efficient choice in most cases. Temporal Trespass could still see play in certain niche strategies that heavily rely on extra turns, but it may not be a staple in most decks.

Because delve isn’t an alternative cost, it can be used in conjunction with alternative costs, such as flashback. It can also be used to pay for additional costs that include generic mana.

Delve doesn’t change a spell’s mana cost or converted mana cost. For example, Treasure Cruise’s converted mana cost is 8 even if you exiled three cards to cast it.

You can’t exile cards to pay for the colored mana requirements of a spell with delve.

You exile cards from your graveyard at the same time you pay the spell’s cost. Exiling a card this way is simply another way to pay that cost.
