About Summit Apes

Summit Apes, Creature — ape, designed by Véronique Meignaud first released in Feb, 2010 in the set Worldwake and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card, Summit Apes, would be beneficial in a red-green aggressive deck that aims to apply pressure early in the game. Its ability to gain menace when a Mountain is controlled can make it difficult for opponents to block effectively, allowing for more damage to be dealt. While Summit Apes is a decent inclusion in such a deck, there may be better options available like Tarmogoyf or Scavenging Ooze, which offer more versatile abilities and stronger stats. Ultimately, the decision to include Summit Apes would depend on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, but there are potentially more impactful cards to consider for optimal performance.

Rules

03/01/10

Whether you control a Mountain matters only as the defending player declares blockers. Once it’s blocked, gaining or losing control of a Mountain won’t affect Summit Apes’s blockers.
