About Shapesharer

Shapesharer, Creature — shapeshifter, designed by Alan Pollack first released in Oct, 2007 in the set Lorwyn and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This Shapesharer card would be a valuable addition to a tribal deck that focuses on creature types, such as Merfolk or Wizards, as it can easily fit into any creature type strategy due to its Changeling ability. While Shapesharer offers versatility and potential for surprise plays, there are more powerful shapeshifter cards like Clone or Phantasmal Image that may be more efficient in certain situations. However, Shapesharer's unique ability to copy a creature until your next turn can provide strategic advantages and should definitely see play in decks looking for flexible and adaptive creature options.

Rules

10/01/07

Effects that have already applied to the targeted Shapeshifter will continue to apply to it. For example, if Giant Growth had given it +3/+3 earlier in the turn, then this ability makes it a copy of Grizzly Bears, it will be a 5/5 Grizzly Bears.

10/01/07

If the targeted Shapeshifter copies a creature that’s copying a creature, it will become whatever the chosen creature is copying.

10/01/07

The copy effect doesn’t wear off until just before your next untap step (even if an effect will cause that untap step to be skipped).

10/01/07

This ability can cause a creature to become a copy of itself. This will usually have no visible effect.
